CX-07 IEC60335 Finger Nail Probe
Finger nail probe is in accordance with the Figure 7 of IEC60335.1 and GB4706.1. The finger nail probe is mainly used for shocking or the non-removable parts of contacting with moving parts to determine whether it can withstand the mechanical pressure in normal use, to reach the required level of protection test. Exert pressure: 10N, 20N, 30N, 40N, 50N.

Note 1 When higher impact energy is required, the value of 50J is recommended Note 2 A characteristic group numeral of two figures has been chosen to avoid confusion with some national standards which used a single numeral for a specific impact energy. |
CX-Q03 Ball Pressure Test Apparatus
The ball pressure test apparatus is used for testing plastics to which hazardous voltage parts are mounted (i.e. terminal backs, transformer bobbins, etc…) in accordance with most IEC, EN Standards and internationally harmonized UL and CSA Standards (950, 1010, 601, 335, etc.). The unit exerts 20N force on sample. Entirely stainless steel.
Note: this test is required to be conducted in an oven at an elevated ambient temperature.
Parameters:
1. Ball diameter: 5mm (R2.5mm)
2. Test Pressure: 20N±0.2N
3. Material: Stainless Steel
4. Standard: IEC60695-10-2, IEC60335, IEC60601, GB4706.1, GB2099.1 etc.
Power Cord Flexibility Tester
This test checks the protection of the supply cord where it enters the appliance. Appliances provided with a supply cord that are moved while in operation shall be constructed so that the supply cord is adequately protected against excessive flexing where it enters the appliance. This does not apply for appliances with automatic cord reels.
The part of the appliance that includes the inlet opening is fixed to the oscillating member so that, when the supply cord is at the middle of its travel, the axis of the cord where it enters the cord guard or inlet is vertical and passes through the axis of oscillation. The major axis of the section of flat cords shall be parallel to the axis of oscillation.
The cord is loaded so that the force applied is
– 10 N, for cords having a nominal cross-sectional area exceeding 0,75 mm2;
– 5 N, for other cords.
The distance X, as shown in figure 8, between the axis of oscillation and the point where the cord or cord guard enters the appliance, is adjusted so that when the oscillating member moves over its full range, the cord and load make the minimum lateral movement.
The oscillating member is moved through an angle of 90° (45° on either side of the vertical), the number of flexion for type Z attachments being 20 000 and for other attachments 10 000. The rate of flexing is 60 per minute.
NOTE: A flexing is one movement of 90°.
The cord and its associated parts are turned through an angle of 90° after half the number of flexion, unless a flat cord is fitted.
During the test, the conductors are supplied at rated voltage and loaded with the rated current of the appliance.
NOTE: Current is not passed through the earthing conductor.
