Technical Parameters for Steel Ball Impact Test Device
Power supply: AC220 50Hz
Control method: button + remote infrared remote controller
Impact steel ball: diameter 50mm, 500±25g, with ring. Bearing steel material: GCr15, hardness above HRC60.
Steel wire rope: Ф1mm, material 304 stainless steel, rubber-coated, length 1.3m, adjustable
The height range of the sample: 0.5~2.0m, the length and width of the sample are not limited
Height range of impact point of steel ball: 0.5~2.0m

Release method: electromagnet release
This electric vehicle steel ball impact test device application: it is suitable for drop impact test for equipment enclosure.
Test sample: Electrical vehicle charging station, Luminaries, Audio, video and similar electronic apparatus, Information technology equipment
Feature:
- Vertical drop impact test: The system controls the electromagnet to release a solid steel ball of Ф50mm, 500±25g, so that it can freely fall from a height of 1.3m to the top surface of the charging station, and the impact energy test of 6.5J is generated on the sample;
- Swing impact test: The system controls the electromagnet to release the solid steel ball of Ф50mm, 500±25g, so that it swings freely from the horizontal 0° position along the 1.3m steel wire rope to impact the side of the charging station, the impact energy test of 6.5J is generated on the sample; the impact can be carried out on the sides of the four 90° directions of the sample.
- Using a trolley structure, it can be movable and positioned around the sample and test different sides of the sample.
- The electric lifting structure is adopted, the installation of steel balls is labor-saving, and the impact on the top and side surfaces of the sample at different heights is satisfied.
- It is released by electromagnet, which can be controlled by remote infrared remote controller, with high safety factor.
- There are two ways of impact: vertical impact and swing impact, which fully meet the standard requirements
- Equipment can carry out test in two forms of vertical drop and swing impact
Test preparation
1. Fix the sample in the normal position to ensure that the supporting surface is a rigid supporting surface, and the ground and wall are preferred as the supporting surface.
2. Connect the device to the 220V power supply, and select the drop method according to the sample: vertical drop or swing impact.
Vertical Impact Test
1. Move the equipment so that the rod holding the steel ball is above the sample, and fine-tune the position of the electromagnet and the vertical steel ball to make the steel ball impact the position where the sample needs to be impacted. Tighten the screws to fix the position of the electromagnet and the steel ball, and fix the braking device on the equipment wheel to prevent the equipment from moving.
2. Lengthen the steel wire rope of the vertical impact steel ball to more than 1.3m, place the steel ball on the electromagnet and press the release button or 5 of the wireless remote control. The button indicator light is on and the electromagnet is energized to attract the steel ball.
3. Press the up (wireless remote control 3) or down (wireless remote control 4) button, so that the distance between the bottom of the steel ball and the surface of the sample is a height of 1.3m.
4. Press the release button again to make the button bounce or the 6 button of the wireless remote control, the electromagnet is powered off and the steel ball is released, and the steel ball is in free fall to impact the sample.
Oscillating Impact Test
1. Move the equipment so that the oscillating steel ball is in vertical contact with the surface of the sample.
2. Place the steel ball on the electromagnet and press the release button or 5 of the wireless remote control. The button indicator light is on and the electromagnet is energized to attract the steel ball.
3. Loosen the torx screw on the electromagnet, move it to the left so that the wire rope of the steel ball is in a straight state, and lock the torx screw on the electromagnet, as shown in the figure below.
4. Press the up (wireless remote 3) or down (wireless remote 4) button to determine the impact point of the sample.
5. Press the release button or the 6 button of the wireless remote control again to release the steel ball. The steel ball impacts the sample in a free fall motion. After the impact, grab the steel ball by hand to prevent secondary impact.
Check the sample
After the test, check the impact position of the sample, and judge whether the sample is qualified according to the standard requirements.
